My 2015 Style Resolutions

So this is strictly a post to get my thoughts straight. We are now knee deep in 2015 and I honestly just need to reflect on how I intend to spend the rest of the year. Two weeks in, I totally feel like I’ve been slacking when it comes to my outfit selections. Prioritizing comfort and warmth first! I recall once wearing the same chunky knit for three days in a row just because of how warm it kept me. With that said – it’s important I take this time out and list my style goals and aims for the year.

November Push

It is my yearly ritual to push wearing open toe shoes as late into the year as possible. I will basically wear shoes that bare my feet until there is snow on the ground. So I took it upon my self to carry out this tradition and put together an ensemble that exercised this annual tradition.

I’m not ready for Fall yet.

So the weather is definitely a little more crisp and if you are out and about in the evening without a jacket or some sort of cover up – then you are extremely brave in my books! Personally, if I’m cold, my whole day, my mood, my everything is off. I ADORE the heat but detest the cold. Living in the polar vortex that is Toronto, it is challenging to find ways to rock unworn summer gear yet allow it to compliment the temperatures outside. Here is my first attempt.

Date Night Right

When I think about it – there is literally nothing in this world that can satisfy me more than a long sleeved maxi dress. So when I came across this well-priced find at H&M – I was sure to snag it up as an essential for my 2014 spring/summer.

Nude Accents

Okay so this week might not show good signs of Spring weather in Toronto but last week did. This completely encouraged me to bust out the exposing shoes and three quarter sleeves. It was sunny so the hat was literally the icing on the cake. Boyfriend jeans seem to be my comfort zone these days and I pair them with everything. The key to making any boyfriend jean look good is to slightly roll them up so they can add some fitted appeal to a relatively looser bottom. Hats are my go to staple on an unpredictable hair day. For me, a bad hair day is a flat hair day. I have thin and long hair – so flat hair – very likely on the second or third day – post wash. Hope you like the look! BTW – You can click on the pictures to enlarge them. =)
