  • I always hurt for the women in my DMs. The ones who feel the pressure to be/stay married, the ones who pine for children, those who aren’t satisfied with their current situations. I’m sure you can gauge by now that I get the same inquiries over and over on how I manage on my own. Responsibilities, a mortgage, work, mothering, social life, etc., Women are so strong, so resilient, so damn talented and hard working that I wish these same women could see their potential beyond motherhood and men. Of course I understand the natural desire for companionship and family. But I hope we can shift the dialogue for our daughters, nieces and younger generations. Be independent. Make your own money. Actively have faith in God. Prioritize your loved ones. And if someone comes along to share in that - then alhumdullilah. But if it takes a little bit longer - then alhumdullilah for that too. Sending love to everyone with an uneasy heart. May Allah make it easy. Ameen. 💞✨
