  • Regal Remnants Experience

    Regal Remnants Experience

    In the midst of COVID, it’s sometimes hard to stay home without feeling refreshed or relaxed because of redundant routines and lack of structure. I wanted to spoil myself with an experience that would allow me to reset and feel motivated towards my everyday responsibilities.

    I was introduced to Regal Remnants and took an interest in their innovative concepts right away. I opted for the Bath in Bali experience and this is what it entailed.
    Elements of the experience include:

    To ingest, some goodies (matcha, lavender-coconut, cocoa and cinnamon-covered energy balls) for you to enjoy while sipping on your flight/choice of 3 different beverages (lavender tulsi tea, pulp ginger tea and/or a cleansing blooming flower tea)
    To enjoy during your bath, a natural mixture of eucalyptus epsom salt crystals infused with tea leaves carried over from Tibet & Bali infused 
    For some extra relaxation and rejuvenation, our home-made soy candles to light for extra aromatherapy, a sakura blossom incense stick, tiger balm for the temples or any sore massage areas
    For some “art wellness”, a meditative/soothing art & crafts activity that involves making your own shape with a jar full of your own rose petals (think colouring a Mandala but with rose petals instead of colouring pens) / following an origami instruction booklet
    For extra effect/fun, some small bubbles you can blow from our machine/the wand itself + balloons filled with rose petals and chocolate balls which you have to pop to eat!

    The aim of this experience is to promote / emphasize the importance of our physical health and mental wellness (especially during these times) via some healthy, relaxing yet energizing and immune-boosting elements.

    Preparation was all made with proper PPE and according to all health and safety standards with the government. Importantly, due to everything going on with COVID, experiences are executed in homes privately ONLY (no public experiences) to note for the reassurance of yours and others.

    Staycation at Westin Harbour Castle

    I had the most relaxing stay at the Westin Harbour Castle. As a busy mom, it’s so hard to get away from the chaos at home and responsibilities of every day living. I just wanted one night off to spoil myself and surround myself with serene views and a cozy room to enjoy a Christmas movie and some room service to complete my night.

    The hotel was extremely central to all the sites (restaurants, coffee shops, waterfront) that I wanted to visit. I really recommend if you enjoy overlooking the water and boats, you get a lake facing view. My windows were insane! I loved watching the sunset!

    Amenities are currently closed due to the lockdown but I’ve read great reviews of everything Westin Harbour Castle has to offer!

    I’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy gorgeous floor to ceiling windowed lobby and next time maybe try a city view room!

    Issa Winter Look

    I’m OBSESSED with this shaket. Not only is it longer than the typical style shaket and thats just how I like it. I have a few flannels/plaid jackets but they don’t look anything like this. Not only was this very cost effective from Shein but it was the perfect level of thickness to transition from Spring to Fall. I will be rocking this a lot come Spring. It’s a nice neutral colour that matches well with anything you pair it with!

  • Raaya’s Fourth Birthday Party!

    Raaya’s Fourth Birthday Party!

    Raaya is 4! As her mom, I really can’t believe that I have a 4 year old! Watching her grow has been my biggest accomplishment and pleasure in life! Alhumdullilah!

    Her birthday party was quaint. With the pandemic, I could really only invite my brothers and their families. I actually wouldn’t want it any other way. Raaya’s cousins are her best friends. She forgets the world when they’re around. So I knew this was enough!

    We set up the playground in the basement with a bouncy castle, roller coaster, ball pit and a cute table for them to do activities!

    The backdrop was a Frozen theme with cake, smash cake, cupcakes and gems. Cake pops, candy platter and balloons, OH MY! Okay maybe that was cheesy but are those not all ingredients to a perfect 4 year old’s birthday party?

    Closet Update

    My closet has transformed so much. It’s really become a space that I’ve grown to love and maximize the space on. I finally feel like its feminine, reflective of my style and the gold hardware by Emtek really closed it all out! Gold accents really pop and with the chair, hardware and wall accents – the touch of gold everywhere pulls the entire room together.

    This is a room I work out of, I get ready in, and I reflect in to reset. This room will always be transforming but because it’s sunny, colourful and pink – it brightens my mood EVERY TIME. Having a room in your house that makes you feel like you can create in is very important because it allows you to unload and really be clear minded when you have to meet deadlines or put a great outfit together!

    Holiday Blooms

    A red bloom around the holidays really pulls everything together. Having an arrangement at home makes you feel festive, pulls you into the holiday spirit and really just makes everyone in the household feel happy. I LOVED how these smelt! The scent of the lilies traveled around the entire home!

    Toca @ The Ritz Carlton

    I recently had the opportunity of enjoying the food from Toca @ The Ritz Carlton, here in Toronto. I’m just going to do a quick run through of what I had and how enjoyable it truly was!

    With COVID, and being unable to eat at restaurants – having a dine in experience is the next best thing!

    I was able to order from https://www.exploretock.com/ in which I chose the dine at home – a la carte option. It was simple, fast and soooo user friendly! I got to change my pickup timing a couple times prior to arriving. They were so accommodating.

    I selected the following:
    Lobster
    Burrata
    Ribeye Steak
    Eggplant Parmagiano
    Apple Cake
    Tiramisu

    As I arrived, I was received by the best welcome at the Ritz Bar Patio. Offered a beverage, greeted by the host of the restaurant to let me know my order would be out shortly. It was presented in this beautiful blue bag with the menu stapled to the front and reheating instructions.

    I sped home to eat everything warm and the way everything was packaged (warm containers for the hot food and iced containers to keep the dessert cool), I seriously could’ve driven speed limits and be just fine.

    The quality of food was impeccable! Portions were decent and presentation was perfect! Felt like I was dining in a restaurant in the comfort of my own home! The food was fresh (definitely getting the buratta again). Don’t underestimate the eggplant – that was my favourite! Tiramisu came with pistachio ice-cream. You should have seen my excitement!
