• Anyone whose known me for quite some time undeniably knows how much of a Toronto Raptors fan I’ve been since 1995. I went through a serious heart break when Mighty Mouse left, indescribable upset when Vince got traded and it’s been one heck of a roller coaster ride of emotions since then. But after I got married to Raptorfan.com in 2009, my interest plummeted after games were so accessible and I was literally attending several on a monthly basis. With that said – my foundational love and admiration in Toronto’s home team never diminished and I am so proud to say that they finished first in the Atlantic division and third in the East. Today is game one vs. Brooklyn and its only right I pay homage to one of the biggest aspects of my life – MY TORONTO RAPTORS. What a feat to have finished the season the way that they have when initially starting it thinking that they’re tanking.

  • Okay so this week might not show good signs of Spring weather in Toronto but last week did. This completely encouraged me to bust out the exposing shoes and three quarter sleeves. It was sunny so the hat was literally the icing on the cake. Boyfriend jeans seem to be my comfort zone these days and I pair them with everything. The key to making any boyfriend jean look good is to slightly roll them up so they can add some fitted appeal to a relatively looser bottom. Hats are my go to staple on an unpredictable hair day. For me, a bad hair day is a flat hair day. I have thin and long hair – so flat hair – very likely on the second or third day – post wash. Hope you like the look! • Surprise! Surprise! The climate is finally lightening up. The snow is melting; salt is disappearing, not to mention the warmer weather. What does this mean for us girls who have been dying to retire our UGGs? This means we can finally whip out our exposed shoes without the fear of frost bite! We’ve suffered in this polar vortex long enough and I think we’re all desperate to get our dancing shoes on! What will you wear in celebration of the demise of tundra-like temperatures?10

  • My first outfit of the day post! This look is definitely more versatile! It can easily transition from casual work wear to an evening out with some friends! I adore this loose fitting blazer as it keeps the entire look very comfortable and cozy. The bow tie and heels certainly spruce up the outfit but you can totally sport a pair of flats and un-tuck the blouse to maintain effortless chic. The boyfriend jeans look fitted because Lord knows why I decided to stand like that – but they’re actually pretty baggy. =)

  • Fotor0403100039
Okay so everyone has literally been grilling me about how I’ve managed to add Hermes items to my recent upgraded wardrobe. I’m about to let everyone in on my secret. Truth be told – initially, I didn’t want to share because I wanted these luxury pieces exclusive to me, but after seeing the curiosity I’ve sparked with my latest acquisitions – I have to let the cat out of the bag. • Recently saw a friend wearing one of the most stunning crop tops I’ve possibly ever laid eyes on. I Ran to Zara the next day to pick it up so I could wear it to an upcoming shin dig for a friend’s birthday. Saturday night rolls around, and post hair and makeup application I excitedly pair my crop top with a midi skirt. I jump in the mirror to discover that NO! This does not work! My hips look too broad, my belly too overbearing and my upper body too bulky. Let’s face it. How something looks on someone else just might not flatter your physique. So how does one identify what works for their shape? I don’t mean to categorize each and every woman into a fixed form but I will do my best to explain generally and hopefully it helps you with simple every day wear to suit your exclusive look.

The first mold would be a pear shape. If you fall under this – generally, your body is more slender and you have more volume from your hips down. To avoid looking stumpy, it helps to elongate your body to make everything look proportioned. Lighter tops paired with darker bottoms often help you establish that. Keep the prints and anything that may throw off the outline of your body to your upper half. A line skirts with tops to your waist will also assist you in achieving length. I’m all for embracing your natural curves but for the days that you don’t want to attract attention to your heavier bottom, experiment with fun necklines.

  • Spring Cleaning Your Closet? What NOT to Throw Away!

For some of us (hoarders), spring cleaning can be an extremely depressing time. Year long, we all know that there comes a time where we have to part with items in our wardrobe that we truly don’t need. We all have those “just in case” pieces. “Just in case I lose weight, just in case I finally go on a tropical vacation this year, or just in case the style comes back.” Stop it. This is a problem. But luckily, you’re not alone. We’re all guilty of holding on to over stretched tees or jogging pants, simply because they’re so comfortable and frankly, the staff at your favourite restaurant has seen you in this outfit so often that they no longer look at you strangely. Do not fret though – there are some things you can preserve from previous seasons to wear in spring 2014.

Although spring has officially started, the temperatures still feel like its winter. So yes you need jackets to survive in these Arctic conditions! Ideal for climates where it’s still cold yet tolerable are cropped jackets. Boxy yet chic, these non-moto or bomber jackets are essential as they come in a variety of prints and textures. They can be paired with jeans or body-con dresses to create the perfect silhouette that we all strive for.

  • Outfit of The Day – Karachi 2014 Edition

On my most recent trip to Karachi, Pakistan – I did my fair share of shopping. But I must say, while I was there, casual outfits were definitely a lot nicer than the formal wear. Today, I’ve featured one of my most favourite ensembles that was gifted to me by an aunt of mine.  Currently,  tops are long and worn with leggings. Threaded embroidery with various colours always adds seasoning to anyone’s ordinary wardrobe.
